Privacy Policy

What this site collects

Sea Chest Designs doesn’t run analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising scripts on this site. If you fill out the free demo form, your answers are sent to our hosting provider, Netlify, which stores them so we can reply. That includes your name, business name, email address, the phone number and notes you add if you choose to, and the questions you answer about your business: what kind of business you run, your state, what you have for a website now, and what you want a new site to do. Netlify also screens submissions for spam, which can involve a third-party spam-filtering service. We use your answers only to respond to you, and we don’t sell or share them. If you email an address listed on this site, we receive whatever you send (your address, name, and message) and use it only to write back.

Cookies and third-party embeds

This site loads a few things from other companies: fonts from Google Fonts, an icon set from jsDelivr, and Google’s “Add to Preferred Sources” button, which loads from Google News. Loading any of those can send your IP address and browser information to that company, the same way loading any embedded image or video would, and Google’s button script may set its own cookies. The Instagram icon is a plain link, so nothing loads from Instagram unless you click it. We don’t control that data or what those companies do with it. Their own privacy policies apply once your browser talks to their servers.

This site doesn’t set cookies of its own. If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your own browser (in local storage) so the site remembers it next time. It stays on your device and we never see it.

Server and hosting logs

Like most websites, this one is served by a hosting provider that keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and reliability. We don’t use those logs for tracking or marketing, and we don’t sell or share them.

How long we keep it, and how to have it deleted

Form submissions and emails are kept while we’re talking and for as long as we may need them for our records. We clear out submissions we no longer need. If you’d like the information you sent removed sooner, email kaden@seachestdesigns.com and we’ll delete it, apart from anything we have to keep for tax or legal reasons.

Links to other websites

Some pages link to live client websites or other third-party sites. Once you leave seachestdesigns.com, that site’s own privacy policy applies, not this one.

Children’s privacy

This site isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we’ll update the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the update.
